I would let a professional do it unless you know what you are doing. Leg waxing last anywhere from 3-4 weeks depending on your hair. It all depends on how fast your hair grows.

Waxing is quite a good way to de-hair you legs because it lasts for some time. When I wax it takes about 3-4 weeks to grow back.
I didn't but some people say that going to a professional to see how they do it first helps.
You also have to leave your hair grow a little bit so that the wax can stick to it.
I like to use wax strips because they are clean and easy to use, but you can use other types of wax, just look at the packs and their directions and see what would be most convenient to you.

It lasts about 3 weeks. You can get it done whenever you feel like it, usually every 3-4 weeks. Yes,it is a LOT better to let a professional do it becase they know how to handle the warm wax, how to apply it, how long to leave it on and the most important, when and how to pull without making it look like in that movie "40 year old virgin".

professionals are fine, they can do a good job, just make sure you check that they actually have done a good job after waxing your legs. Feel your legs once they've waxed them to make sure they've removed all your hairs. If you do it yourself, there really isn't much a difference. You should wax maybe once every 1-2 months, if your willing to pay for it.

Leg waxing usually lasts about 4 weeks. At first, you could have it done professionally so you can see how its done, or you could get a waxing kit---they are usually pretty self-explanatory.

Leg waxings don't usually take that long. Less than an hour. It really depends on the salon/waxer you go to.
It should be done every two to three weeks, to allow the hair to grow to a sufficient length for the wax strip to take hold.
If you're really new to it, go to a salon to let them do it for you.
You can also buy wax-at-home kits.
There's also the option of making you're own using the Perisian Wax method: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Delphi/6011/hair.html

It is depend on the growth of the hair and I suggest after 20days and it does not matter whether you do it yourself or by the professional but you should be knowing how to do it.
