If I 've understood you correctly, and you had sex on the first day of your period, and it carried on to be a normal period, it doesn't sound very likely that you're pregnant... this time! but anything can happen when you skip contraception, I've heard that a woman can just spontaneously ovulate at times (ie during intercourse) and messing around by skipping pills sounds like it might be just the thing to cause that sort of event.
If you've read from a reliable source that spotting on your new contraception can be normal, I'd believe it.

That was a huge mistake , she-it girl, Your chances have gone way up. Use something else til the coast is clear. Spotting is pretty normal for BC pills. Take care sweetie. The pill will still be as effective as ever it was

Any disruption of the normal rotation on the pills can put you at risk...for the best straight answer ask your OB/GYN or prescribing MD....and yes you can spot on your BC pills, and as to if that affects the effectiveness, I cant tell for sure

Normally it is not possible to get pregnant immediatly after period for the next 10 days but a simple urine test would confirm it for you.
