If you're a minority people assume you're moving up. Like white is the ultimate. Why dont they think, oh look they like variety. Even your own relatives think the same way.
If you're white, then people say you're scraping the bottom of the barrel, or trying to make daddy angry or you're a slut.
If she's asian, you must have a small penis.
If she's black, he's into jungle fever.
If she's hispanic, muy caliente!
Why do people always have negative comments?

While I know that some people do think the things that you listed about an interracial couple, only ignorant people assume these things. The more people are educated, are used to diversity and the newer the generation, the less and less likely those ideas are in someone's mind. I'm in an interracial marriage right now, and I've never had anyone say anything negative to me personally, and although I don't know if anyone says anything behind our backs, I know that if we lived 50 years ago, people would have said something to our faces. I think our society is slowly progressing.

As much as I could try, I know that I could never fully understand the effects that slavery, racial segregation and hate has had on you and the African-American community as a whole. ... HOWEVER... you can't hold a person responsible for something an ancestor did. Everyone is their own person. ALSO, you can't assume what every white person's ancestors even did. In my research, mine were in the far north U.S during the 1700 & 1800's and were part of a religious group that forbade slaves and welcomed black members to their congregation. I sure it wasn't a utopian society, but far ahead of their time. Know that people everywhere are just individual people like you, that all have their own ideas.

I dont get mad at interacial relationship. I dated a white guy for a lengthy time period and it changed into tremendous. Dont let human beings get contained in the way of how you sense. i understand precisely the way you sense. I cant not stare at an pretty attractive white guy! basically flow for it! solid success! =D

I really think that young ppl are beyond this..I lock my doors when in a bad neighborhood, YES. but would I shuff being a friend to a black or hispanic (my best friends, BTW, are jewish and hispanic) no! To me anyway, it is about WHO you are, not what you are. I am pure bred white, cracker..if you wil... lol....but I judge ppl on who they are. I have white, black, hispancic and jewish (not too mention ALL the other religions/races) friends.
I think (hope) that they notion of your race and/or ancestory is mute in the US.

Your white ancestors programmed me all to well to become extremely angry when i see mixed relationships,particularly black women with white men, it's apparently clear that black women of this day and era HAVE NO EARTHLY IDEA OF HOW BRUTAL AND CRUEL THESE -------------WERE TO THE BLACK FEMALES YOUNG AND OLD.
So when i see IT, i wish nothing but ill towards them and their future HALF-BREED KIDS.

It must depend on where you live. I always date outside my race and nobody from around here really seems to care.
