From my experience in runway, the best fix for a show is body makeup. Models don't have to have perfect skin, as long as you can't see flaws from a distance. Remember, most people will be more than 10 feet from you so you do not have to be up close perfect.

If you need high coverage, use Dermablend. It covers veins, bruises, razor burn, hyper pigmentation, you name it. It is so dense, it can be used to cover port wine birthmarks and tattoos. After you put it on, let it set and then add a layer of dry oil (Neutrogena makes a good one) for glow. The dermablend is very very concentrated, so make sure the color you choose matches your skin tone exactly. Otherwise, it can look "painted" on.

If you just need medium to light coverage, Too Faced makes a great glowy body makeup. It will make you look a bit more polished and healthy, but is not thick enough to cover a tattoo or bruise.

For additional glow, a body bronzing or shimmer powder can add some extra dimension to your dull skin.

Good luck with your show.

Lotions with Shea butter or even Avon's Hydrofirming lotion for the face. Be careful of harsh cleanser they might dry you out more. Their Skin SO Soft is really great. Also make sure you exfoliate from head to toe. That will help remove dry ,old, flaking skin. I used to take a bath with a little baby oil. They have a cream baby oil in th baby section that is awesome. Not oily and puts a really nice glow to your skin, it's no more than $3

Depending on your ethic background... you may need to use different products for your skin. Like for example, Asian skins are usually more sensitve and tend to have bigger pores than Cacausain, so therefore they have to use cold cream cleansers (or anything made for sensitive skin) and may have to exfoliate more. If you have black skin, Latino, white... you may want to look it up more.... there are bunch of sites that can tell you what can irritate your skin and what is best.

Takin' a bath can help you moisturize the skin. As soon as you get out from a bath/shower put on lotion (for dry skin) to lock in the moisture. Vaseline Creamy is good if you have extremely dry skin and isn't as greasy and it should be thick enough. Nivea facial cream (blue container) is one of the best products to use on face, better than most intensive moisturizers I've tried that often give you the tight feeling.

To get rid of dry flaky spots... you may want to exfoliate more in those dry areas with a facial/body scrub. You either do it everyday or every once in the while depending what type of skin you have.

To get an extra glow, you may want to eat the right foods like fruits and veggies, drinking plenty of water etc.

The best and cheapest home remedy which i can suggest is to sit in a bath tub and rub in lots of honey all over ur skin and trust my words, honey does wonders to ur skin...and leave it for atleast half an hour (be sure u dont attract ants or insects) then wash away with lukewarm (not hot) water. Pat dry and apply any moisturing cream immediately and be sure to rub the cream deep inside ur skin till u feel it just disappear. Repeat this procedure for a couple of days..and let me know if you feel the difference.
Best of luck.

A good Alpha Hydroxy Acid of 6-8% will help exfoliate the skin by getting rid of dead skin cells. You can get AHA's at your local drug store or Target-type store. Start with only once per day to see how your skin reacts. Then build up to twice a day.

Still clean your skin with a gently cleanser such as Cetaphil and still moisturize and do not forget to wear sunscreen everyday - minimum spf of 15.

moisturize every day, twice a day.... don't wash your face with a foaming cleanse, buy dove or oil of olay cream cleanser.... take a hot bath in the evening and apply a deep moiturizing masque on your face, the steam in the bath tub will help the masque penetrate.
