You might want to try final fantasy tactics. That's one of the most impressive handheld game I have played. The sad thing is my cartridge spoilt >.< kingdom hearts: chain of memories is quite interesting for their gameplay. Well.. I don't play alot too so that's all I can recommend.

There are no differences between the GBA and GBASP, really. One has light and the other doesn't.

The best games on the system are the Pokémon games, which I can assure you are not like the show; they're better (not that I hate the show or anything). I would reccomend the FireRed or LeafGreen version, depending on which colour you like better. The next best are the Donkey Kong Country games; they're like Mario or Sonic except you do more acrobatic things, and the music is excellent, especially for the second!

There's also Sonic the Hedgehog on Game Boy Advance.

Mario, especially Yoshi's Island and Super Mario World, is fun.

Well the Pokemon series is a good start if you like RPGs. DK King of Swing is nice too. The Advance Wars series is the best in my opinion. Also theres the Megaman series and Django, those are pretty good too. There are some classic series games too from the NES era. Also try Bomberman Max Red, Joust/Defender combo pak, and Kirby Tilt 'n Tumble for the GBC. If you have a GBA SP, I advise you not try and get TIlt'n Tumble.
