With a death toll at 3000, and the national debt growing closer to $9 trillion everyday, how much longer will our country stand for this?

to the one guy i offended by saying we are "pissing away lives" , you can kiss it pal, cuz when one man kills 3000 great men and women for his own personal agenda and for the agenda of all of his huntin' buddies, then it is, pissing away human beings lives, Also, i have seen the soldiers that are injured and many of them are limbless because of the way their body armor is made. Horrible stuff over there.

A lot, because of his stupidities a land mine killed my cousin and left me a lot scarves in my arm. What we are waiting for to tell this people that next time they decide to start a war that got nothing to do for our nation we won't go? Is time for us to say we won't fight for your economical benefit we will fight for our country not for your weir ideas. Where are the arms of massive destruction we were sent for? No where, just in his imagination, an excuse to sent us for his personal agenda. We, the people, should be respected. Perhaps all the money wasted in it when that money should be used to help our people over here, for example the people in the Mississippi area, that many of them are waiting for help yet.
3 stooges thumbed down.

If I were to admit to a mistake or mistakes that cost the lives of 3.000 Americans (at the very least and assuming he is NOT involved in 9/11 and is being completely honest,) then I'd imagine I would be heading to prison or the electric chair. So why does he get away with it?
Seems to me he should be charged with manslaughter on a mass scale, or criminal negligence. After all, his mistakes cost the 3,000 soldiers their lives, at the very least, and if it were I or you who made such incredible mistakes, well, we'd be facing more than people wishing we were dead. we'd be locked up and executed.
Seems to me that the president should be held to an even higher standard of truthfulness and competency. Also, since he is ORDERING more troops against the advice of his Generals and the will of the people (remember Nov 7, 2006) then, when, the first soldier who dies was deployed under Bush's OWN, sole decision, at that moment, he is arrested, jailed and tried in a court of law.

"If America looses the war on terror the lives will be a hell of a lot more than 3000. "
But tell me, how can you defeat an ideology?
Fire a few rounds drop a bomb or two? The longer they wallow in Iraq the tougher it is going to be to leave. Can you not look to Palestine and Israel??? For everyone person that is killed 2 or 3 take his place. Look at the death toll. If they have killed so many insurgents why isn't it over? Why are the death tolls going up?

About 80% of the country, including many of Bush's own generals and advisors, are tired of it.
But Bush is the boss so it doesn't matter what other people think. Remember him saying he'd "stay the course" even if Laura and Barney were the only ones who still believed in him? Well, it may come to that before long.
And saying you're changing course (finally!) like Bush did in his speech tonight, doesn't mean much when the "new" course you're proposing is just more of the same.
By the way, Bush's bad judgement (and some would say his lies about WMD's etc.) have lead to more American deaths in Iraq than the number of people killed by terrorists in the 9/11 attacks. And that's not to mention the tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi's killed as a result of his policy of agression. Some might say that the Bush administration has harmed America far worse than Al Queda has.
God save America!

yes most Americans are fed up with Bush's war monguring ideas, he fires everyone including generals who disagree with him! He admits hes failed but wants more troops to oput their lives on the line! Hopfully congress will stop this maddness. The military industrial complex which is making billions off of the war are the only people he listens to! They own him and Cheney!

Two weeks ago, Bush had to be evacuated from his Crawford ranch in an armored vehicle because of a tornado warning.
I never bought into the southern, moonshine swillin', mouth breathen', Republican votin' idea that God chose Bush to be President. But if He did, I guess He's tired of Bush and is trying to get rid of him, too.

Let's see...18 Americans killed in Somalia during the battle of Mogadishu
3000+ Americans killed in Iraq
Oh and by the way. The Americans that roped into Mogadishu rapelled from helicopters. Helicopters can't carry M1A1's.
I love how, when things go wrong for conservatives, the revert to Clinton bashing. It's like they're sucking their thumbs for comfort.

Many Americans feel that Bush had been irritating the public by the non-withdrawal from Iraq thereby accummulating national debt instead of improving the economy domestically.

I have no idea. I'm praying to god someone intelligent is elected into office next. Of course, it doesn't take much intelligence to figure out Bush is ruining lives and senselessly sending troops into battle. Is that the current death toll? I can only imagine what it will be once these 21,000 more troops are sent in. Help us god...
