Wow, I've never heard that Italians might be offended by the whopper, especially since the epithet "wop" is spelled differently and is an acronym for "With Out Papers," referring specifically to Ellis Island immigrants to the US. The word "whopper" has been around longer than that I think, but dont' quote me on that! It is an odd notion that an irate Italian might storm into a Burger King and complain about the name of their premier burger...I worked at a Burger King for awhile, and that never happened to me...

No, I don't think they think a thing of it. Italians are very good looking, strong, and have so much going on in there excellent cuisine and are so family oriented, why should they worry about trivia, and that is what it is!

I wouldn't think so, it's just a burger and it comes from the same place we all get our meat from.
