First, when I installed it, it took over Microsoft word. Okay, no problem, but when I copied data on a CD, it would not open on my friend's computer with Windows XP. So, I uninstalled the Star and now none of my files will open. I get the garbled stuff I can't even start to read. Now, I am faced with a ton of stuff to redo. I am no computer expert. Can anyone help me out on this?

You will simply need to re-associate your files with Microsoft Word (if it is still installed).

Right click on the document, select open with, and then select Microsoft Word and select 'always open with...'

Hope this helps,
Ken
