I've seen people almost make out with their pets, because they sit their and let their animals lick all over their face. As a Christian, I haven't found a scripture about it because I don't think people were that perverted back then., but I know from past experince, I'm not allowed to have pets because pets want to have control over you. Cats want you to pet them, and if you don't, they sometimes scratch you. Dogs want you to be friendly to them before they trust you. I'm not going to let animals have control over me.

Pets don't want to have control over people. As a matter of fact, dogs want you to be the leader of the "pack."
Some people don't have children or they're nest is empty & so they dote on their pets because they give their owner unconditional love & affection. Even cats.
Also, human nature being what it is, perversions are not new. However the Bible's purpose is to teach us about God's love & how to attain heaven.
It is unfortunate that you feel as you do about pets.
They make great companions & have been found to raise the spirits & lower the blood pressure of the elderly not only in their own homes, but in hospitals & nursing homes. Cats & dogs have been trained for this purpose.
None of my cats have ever scratched me except when something has frightened them. No one should force a cat to be held if it doesn't want to & it might scratch then (but not on purpose) to get loose. A cat can always be front declawed as a last resort.
Who told you that you can't have pets? Whoever it was gave you a bum story just to make you not want one.

Well I am an animal lover and I would have to say Yes people do love there animals they become part of the family they don't control u, u control them u must have never had a pet as a child now that's sad every child should experience having some sort of pet wether it be a cat dog horse mouse hermit crab or sheep calf something to show them how to care for a living animal it also gives children responsibility. My children love all there animals from the chickens to the rabbits, the cat, the dogs the sheep and the horse and pony this does not mean that u let the dog lick your face like your making out with them but a pat and a cuddle are all good as for cats scratching the only time I've been scratched was when I was playing with the cat and stirring it up. And as for my dogs they trust me I treat my animals good so they have no reason not to trust me they protect us and are part of the family so yes people LOVE there animals

It all depends on what IN LOVE means to you! When you see them "almost make out" - "licking all over their face" and a question "are they in love?" appears in your head, there is something terribly wrong in your understanding of a relation between a pet and the owner, and, being a Christian, just may be, you should have brighter views of that kind of a partnership. Of course people are in love with their pets. And if you ask someone who has a pet and actually cares about it if they are in love with that creature the answer very rear will be negative. There is many different ways of love.
The last think a pet wont from you is to control you. Go and try to get a trust of a human without being friendly. But ones you do get Friends with (say) a god - What goes around comes around! Right?

I don't think people are IN LOVE with their pets however I do think they love their pets which is a big difference. I dont know how old you are but you should learn a little bit more about animals. Not all pets have control over their owners. Pets have behavioral issues as do humans. You are putting all cats and all dogs in the same category. I have never had a pet the controls me. I will say that I love my dog and treat her like my child. Sounds like you are very young and don't quite understand the concept of being in love and loving something.

What people weren't perverted back then, just because a dog can lick your face, What kind of Christian are you? There is nothing wrong with loving my pets. I kiss my dog and give her a hug yes the biggest hug ever so suppose i am the biggest perverted woman on earth.You have made me so mad i can't even write down what i think of you cause i would be typing to this time next year. You wanker you won't let animals have con troll over you. Well i am going to bed now and guess what my Border Collie Dog is going with me yes she sleeps with me every night. We snuggle up close to keep warm sometimes i fall asleep holding her paw. we have a kiss and hug before we go to sleep and the same in the morning.God made animals he made them for good honest loving caring people like me to love and care for them.You, you rot in HELL mate cause your sad and very bad minded person.

Um, my cat doesn't scratch me if I don't pet him. He just walks all over my book or whatever I'm doing that makes me not pay attention to him.
I don't let animals lick me; that's disgusting. The reason other people do is probably because of the myth that dog spit is cleaner than human.

i love my pet but idont let him lick my face or anything. And pets dont want control over you, they want to be loved by you. If they wanted control they wouldnt ask you to pet them they would hiss/growl until you get off the sofa if they wanted to sit on it. Pets are so good to have because even if your friends have gone out without you they are there, and if you dont like them i think your missing out on a lot.

You have to not let your pet have control over you. It is a mutual thing, cats want you to pet them, it is pleasant to pet the cat! I don't think there is anything sexual about that and if you do then you are a weirdo???

I have three small dogs and yea I love them very much.They are like my children I would say.I provide care for them,feed them,bath them,keep them up to date on there shots and so on,but what you are asking about is a completely different subject.Sounds to me for you to even think about that would be perverted.

I don't know how old you are, but I think you are going overboard.
People are not "in love" with their animals in a romantic sense, but they do love them, as one would love a family member.
You need to talk to someone who knows animals; it sounds like someone has given you some strange information.
