If you really want a real good book and a mystery, then read James Patterson's Cross. Very Good book and one of his best to date. Rates up there with Kiss the Girls.

"The Codex" by Douglas Preston is a good adventure tale with lots of suspense. The follow up "Tyranasaur Canyon" is also excellent.
If you want something a little lighter, try Janet Evanovich's "Metro Girl" or her Stephanie Plum mysteries.
Right now I am reading "Treasure Of Khan" by Clive Cussler. Very good, but it is more of an aquired taste- part Indiana Jones, part James Bond, part Jaques Costeau. If you give his works a try, you will either love it or hate it.

Im reading one now called Tell No One by Harlan Coben. It's one of those that you can't put down. You want to know how it ends but you don't want it to end. It's one of the best mystery/thriller book I've read in awhile.
