I would agree. It takes balls to defend this country with many ignorant sheep just spewing out crap they heard in the media. Bush has stuck to his word. This is going to be a long fight.

I wouldn't have phrased it exactly that way, but I do agree the man has shown remarkable courage in the face of some of the most outrageous treatment any president in my memory has received.
And my memory goes all the way back to Truman.
A great deal of the credit for Bush's troubles should be laid on the shoulders of television and print media that are off-the-wall liberal.
I've actually met and spoken with Mr. Bush (before he became governor of Texas) and I think nearly everyone has misjudged the man. He is decent, intelligent and very much wants the best for America.
Many of us--unfortunately--either don't recognize this or don't want to acknowledge it. I can think of many labels for such people, but I am too polite to use them in a forum as public as this.
I wish I were 30 years younger. I would go to Iraq if I were. I am a Vietnam veteran, by the way.

I wouldn't classify him as the bravest president ever, i would give that honor to Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt, or well Roosevelt again. But ehh maybe bush gets #5?
This war is still important, we've lost what 3000 now? Anyone even think they can guess how many shiites and sunnis have died? 4,000,000 million. I think losing a thousand to save a million would be worth it, I would do that in a heartbeat, but I can see how it may be "tough" for others to make, especially if one of those thousands may be someone your close to. Bush made the decision that could very well save hundreds of thousands, and it is for that reason he is my Top Five Bravest Presidents.

It is the job of our Commander in Chief and President, to make these hard decisions. Rather we see it as being a bad decision or a good one, there will still be criticism. But, because I love my country so much, I will stand beside her until the very end. Also, I have a right to say this..I made my career in the military, and now have two son's doing the same, on their second tour of duty in Iraq. You may all think your links and media information discusses all that the Government is doing, hell no, that would be suicidal. So, please respect those who gave their lives for our country and those who continue to do so, your family, friends, your neighbors..please think of them first, before making degrading comments that leans towards that way.

FINALLY!!!!
A voice representing the less than 3 out of 10 American citizens who are still convinced that Bush is a good President, there is NO global warming, invading Iraq was a good idea, Pat Roberts is God's official spokesperson, Barry Goldwater was a damn liberal, and if we had only stayed in Vietnam another 25 years, we would have won!!!!!

You seem like an uneducated person. I would suggest you do more reading and research in a variety of different medias and then come up with a more informed opinion. Bush is the worst president we have ever had. ALL presidents have to make tough decisions. That's what the job consists of. He makes bad decisions and other people's kids die because of it. And he doesn't listen to experts, generals, study groups, American citizens or anyone else. He is now trying to continue the war just because of his own ego. He has shown the worst judgment of any president we've ever had. Please educate yourself.

I think he is brave for the position he holds......I think any President/Prime Minister, etc is brave because of the nature of their responsibility. And I do agree with you in the sense that he has to put up with the media which speaks about several times louder than what it truly represents. If I was a conservative I would find that annoying and possibly depressing. I am independent but I can also imagine Bush's position against a powerful liberally biased media.

I agree that Bush is the bravest president ever. Doing the things he's done and being able to sleep at night celebrates incredible courage.

What's your question.
I'd say being objective that he is a president. The buck stops at his desk. He has certainly made mistakes but he's done some things right.
In terms of bravery, no evidence either way. Every president makes tough descions.

If he is so brave, how come he didn't put down that crack pipe and beer bottle and serve in Vietnam? And don't give this b.s. that he was in the airnational guard! Everyone, who has an IQ higher then 10, knows that it was an easy way out of service! How come his daughters aren't there in Iraq to fight? How come your not there to fight!
