In his speech tonight, Did Bush indicate that Iran has helped the insurgents that oppose American forces in Iraq? If that is the case, then we are dealing with a country that has effectively attacked U.S. forces, aren't we?

This is also a country that is on the 'Axis Of Evil', and is allegedly try to develop nuclear weapons.

So will the U.S. move against Iran? If so, how? Air strikes? Ground invasion? Or will the U.S. simply help Israel do the job? And if such a war does happe, what will be the ramifications for the region and for the world?

Yes the US will move against Iran. The question of how is obviously less obvious.

I think he'll avoid military confrontation unless there are no other options. The US is tied down in Iraq.

That said, the security council can't afford to let Iran have nuclear weapons.

The other problems with Iran such as in Iraq. I suspect the US will find ways to make Iran regret but we'll have to see.

There is a carrier group going to the Persian Gulf right now. I joked with my husband during the President's speech that the task force on Iraq mentioned "engaging" Iran and Syria. I thought military engagement would be appropriate. I don't think that most Americans would agree, but by the time they do agree, when the terrorists are blowing everything up here, it would be a bit late.

Israel struggled against the backwater military force of Hezbollah. USA is struggling against the Iraqi's who don't want western presence.

So, how can we expect to defeat Iran? America is failing in so many area's at war and having a people who have tired of war and being a nation that most nations nolonger fear, the days of the USA is almost finished. Be this a good or bad thing.

USA will not attack Iran unless obvious evidence has found that nuclear weapons exist in this country of axis. The most USA can do is only sanctioning Iran.
