b/c you never know how labor will progress, as soon as labor starts you want to restrict your diet only to light, bland, liquidy foods... like popsicles, jello, and soup. it could suck if your in labor a long time, but it will cut down on all sorts of complications.

I wasnt aware there were any foods to avoid. I never had "normal" labor symptoms due to my dynamic and incomplete cervix never left anything except one contraction at 9cm. Good luck

Labour makes your bowels move as you want them empty to start pushing. Don't eat anything heavy or you'll regret it when it's to late. Eat natural but filling foods as you'll want strength aswel. Something with carbs but not to much fibre. I've never given it to much thought. I don't normally eat much during labour but feast afterwards.

All cold foods. Try to have some food that gives warmness to the body, that will protect you from the effects of outside cold environment!

Stop it, then... When you are in labor, your not hungry anyway! You need fluids and I would suggest something to help hydrate you.
