I live in Slidell, Louisiana, and I had this cousin named Wendy who drowned when I was just a little baby. I'm trying to find an obituary for her, but the thing is, I only know very little about her. I know her first name, how she died, where and between the years of 1988 and 1994. Is there a website that I can go to that could find an obituary based on that information? (Also, if anyone knows who I'm talking about, please PLEASE e-mail me at theprekursor@yahoo.com. I've been looking for anything about her for 6 1/2 years and have found nothing, so any information at all would be greatly appreciated. I also know that she is somehow related to Earl and Rosemary Cox, if that helps any.)

How can you not know her last name if she was your cousin? Is your family trying to keep things from you rather than helping you? The local newspaper where I live has their obituaries online & they go back several years. My suggestion would be to start asking around your family & find out a last name.
Good Luck

No there is no website. The best place to look is archived newspapers in the town she died. It may be available online.
