Neither...the older I get the more I understand that saying...'your only as old as you feel'.... I'm 35 and listen to the same crap you do. And is that you holding up the tree? You don't look so old. For almost being 42 that is.....gramps.....(tee-hee!!) Happy early B-day!

I just turned 35.
I'm still waaay into my Metallica, Maiden, Sabbath, Anthrax, P.E., Run DMC etc. etc. from the '80s as well as enjoying the few good acts coming out today, System of a Down and am even taking my 14 year old Sdaughter to a My Chemical Romance concert, but honestly I like them and want to see 'em live just as much as she does.
I hate this idea of "Acting our age" What he f***!?!?!?
I still wear my chuck taylors, flannel shirts and t shirts under them. As long as i don't go back to the mullet and try to drive a Trans Am around town finiding high school parties to get a good beer bong going, I dont think I'm being immature, I'm being me. And you're being you!

You know what that means? you haven't forgotten how to be 'alive'! too many adults let the world and it's negativity make them in to boring, dull and no fun people!
PROVIDING....that you work, pay your bills on time, respect others, have your own 'place', call your parents often and have lived a good life! Know what I mean?
Why do you think 42 is old? people live longer now, so the 'old' 42 is the 'new' 32!

Nah, you just like some good stuff. Now that Manson crap, what in the world is that about? Who needs to hear that crap. Maybe try listening to some more calmer stuff, you may find you like it also. Doesn't mean you're getting old, just you are more open to other things. Just my opinion.
Also, wow, I read one of your last questions, 13 inches really, good lord.

you think that age has something to do with music? no not at all. the body gets old not the heart. the heart is always young and vibrant! so go on listening ! i like metal music too. it has a recreational value!

Why do you care what other people think of you? If you like the music its your choice. You can be young at heart no matter your age plus I don't think music has an age. Some of us young people listen to oldies.

I'm guessing I will still be listening to that music when I'm 42. I don't think it's immature I think those are good bands. Act young and you'll stay young..

I don't think so... everyone likes their own type of music. There is an older lady that is a regular in my store that listens to rap and hard rock... I think that she is in her late 70s! Everyone is different... and anyway... Who cares what others think... all different music is ok!

Happy B'day and No, maturity is gauged by what you drink now as opposed to what you used to drink when you were young. If you haven't changed drinks then you're still young at heart not immature.
Age is a state of mind.
