i really think my 5 week old son is lactose intolerance. i really don't think its colic. when i rub his tummy, he stops crying and when i give him the bottle he starts screaming again. I'm giving him enfamil lipil low iron. he first was on enfamil lipil with iron, but took him off cuz he was to constipated. i saw that they have this formula out in enfamil thats for fussy and gassy babies and one for colic babies.

You shouldn't give soy milk to babies; it says so right on the carton. Just get a formula that's lactose free. Ask your pediatrician what to feed your son, not a bunch of dummies on Yahoo Answers!

My daughter had the same problem. She cried and had tummy pain, she was gassy. The doctor said to take her off the enfamil and put her isomil. That did the trick. She had no more tummy aches and all was well. Today, she's 14 years old. She can drink milk no problem. Her system just didn't tolerate it when she was little. Who knows why. I'm lactose intolerant myself. It was a blessing when we put her on the Isomil. It's soy milk.

my son started on the good start soy and it cleared up his colic immediately but he still spit up a bit, now that hes switched to the enfamil prosobee lipil its a non existent problem....so I would suggest the enfamil prosobee.

Nutramigen is from enfamil and it is for colic, fussy, puky, sleeplessness, gassy, and diarea symptoms. My baby was on good start supreme with dha- Ara, Then she was really puky and pooped all the time Then we tried good start soy, she got really crabby, constipated, and would not sleep at night. So we tried Nutramigen and now she sleeps very good, she is not constipated any more, she pukes less, and she is not so crabby any more. So i think that it is working very well. She also seems fuller longer she also lets us sleep 6 to 8 hours at night.
