The V is for show, the Stratocaster is for playing music. There is no best Guitar, there are great Guitar players that can make any guitar sound good.
The Strat is best choice for Blues,Rock and Roll,R&B
The Cort is best for Metal , Rock and Blues
The Gibson LesPaul or Goldtop L5 is sweet for melodic, jazz and rock and Blues.
Once again, it isnt the Guitaur, it is the artist playing the Guitaur.
The V is very ackward to play while sitting, the Strat isn't. The V is for show, the Strat is for playing.
Get a Strat,Telecaster,LesPaul,L5, Cort or something that sounds good and is comfortable as well as dependable. .

There is no "best" guitar, except in the sense of the personal preference. I'd buy any Ibanez on any day over those two. They are very different, though - the Gibson has a very thick, full and deep sound, and the Fender is more glassy, brighter and thinner, clear. I find that Stratocaster is much more versatile, though, and in that sense, better. It's also more convenient for carrying & storing because it does not have that ridiculous and useless V shape. After all, think for yourself: oof the top class guitarists, many play Strats, anbd not one plays a V:
Hendrix, Clapton, Eric Johnson, Jeff Beck, Malmsten...

You can't like one over the other. The Flying V has an awesome reach, because when you get to the top of the neck, there's no body! Also, the V has ultimate crunch with it's 2 humbuckers.

But when you want nasty bite, and some really keen highs, you definately want to go with the Strat.
My personal favorite is the Strat. You can get a Les Paul type sound from a Strat, but you can't get a Strat from a Les Paul!

The strat is a probaly a more versatile guitar. The gibson V is hard to play sitting down.

judging which one is better is subjective because it depends on the sounds you like because each of them have theyre own unique sound. and there are many different kinds of stratocastors ranging from squier to an American Strat. so if your talking about an American Strat i like it over the flying v
