I don't think she's completely over the ex. If she was you wouldn't sense an attachment. Of course she says that she hates him. When you've had your heart broken you do hate that person, but it's hard to let go at first. If you feel she doesn't have a huge attachment to the ex, then go for it. But be careful. You may be just a rebound because she's feeling vulnerable. You make her feel good about herself and maybe that's all she needs from this relationship, the feel good part, not necessarily the boyfriend part..for now. It could turn into more though. Give it a few more weeks and see. If you feel like she isn't committed, then let her go. This will require patience.

No I don't you should ditch her. But be there for her and show her you are the bigger man, but I don't think you should get involve with her because she still has an attachment to her ex. You would be on the outside looking in. I'm a female and if she was with him for a long time she might just always have dealings with him so really you are wasting your time. But there is nothing wrong with being there for her. If you think you cant control your feelings leave it alone. that could turn out bad anyway.

First you want to make sure your not the rebound guy. To do this you will have let her say her peace about her ex and listen to her complain about him. If she gets over him after venting it all to you then you should be ok. If she is still going on and on after a month, I would move on, because she will turn her hurt from him to you and have trouble trusting you. You will then be the one under the magnifying glass and have to make sure you do everything just right. If you are ok with that then go for it. Just remember women are full of emotions that you won't understand most of the time.

It sounds like she is still hung up on the ex. She probably just need someone of the opposite sex to talk to. you should just give her time. Try not to get to emotionally involved with her at this time. Just try to be friendly with her and if a other opportunity comes your way go for it.
