I recently changed jobs and I have not really clicked with anyone I work with. In the last four months, I have worked very close to some people and they still do not understand my sarcasm, jokes or simple conversations. Has anyone ever experienced this before? If so, how did you handle it? If not, how would you handle it? Thanks

Yes I have had the same problem before, I have learned that it is always best to be yourself. They will warm up to you. If they don't they are the ones that are missing out. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself. Trying to fit in makes you look like you need attention .... Be a trend setter not a trend doer!!

This is quite common. I have experienced this before. I always wish that people would get me but, if they don't I don't worry about it at all. Sometimes it takes people a while to figure out just how fabulous I truly am. lol. If they don't, their loss.

Yes alot. People have always misunderstood my sarcasm and such. That is why I stay away from people. But I personally think I am funny.

Yea this happens with me and my brother ALOT. I stay away from him and rarely ever go to visit. But you can't do that, you have to see these people everyday. Try to explain it to them if they still don't get it , they might be lost causes.

If I go to a new job I wont speak to much until I don't have some trust with any of my new coworkers.
