It may mean that you are stressed about something. I used to have bad dreams, quite severe ones. It was due to something that I was suppressing. Once I found out what it was and dealt with it the dreams went away (the serious ones did - waking up sweaty, screaming etc).
I will get bad dreams if I am stressed about an exam, or something coming up that I don't want to deal with.
It does not always mean that though. I will also have bad dreams if I get too hot when I am sleeping, and my brother gets them when he sleeps on his back (don't ask me why!)

Maybe yes, maybe no. Some people have them just because they are not getting enough sleep, or feel guilty about something. Others have them for no obvious reason at all.
It's possible that a physical illness could be making you wake up in a sweat--but if you are in good health and see the doctor often enough, this is probably unlikely.
If you feel fine after waking and going about your routine, you're probably physically and mentally okay--so try not to become ill over the dreams.
Children seemingly have many more nightmares than adults do, yet usually the dreams come from nowhere--at least to our knowledge.

Bad Dreams can happen when you are too tired, worried about something, sick, stressed or if you eat wierd food before bed. By wierd I mean anything unusually spicy or heavy.

Not necessarily. Everyone has bad dreams at one point or another. If you continue having them and they are interfering with your life, then definitely see your doctor.

It means you had a bad dream... period.
What's bothering you. Figure that out and the bad dreams should stop.
