what if your under the age of 18 and you get caught up by the cops and they find a unregistered firearm on you. what will be your penalties? im talking about a small hand gun....nothing illegal but just unregistered.

If you have a permit to carry a concealed weapon, nothing. You have to take a class on gun safety and pass a background check where I live and you can carry a gun with you. Generally the rule is have your guns unloaded in a case in the trunk of your car and have the ammo in the glove box or stored where it is not easy to get to. I have been pulled over after a hunting trip with 5 guns in the car and nothing happened. You always tell the police you have guns because they hate surprises. I mean if you are out to rob a place with a gun and get killed by the police that would be your fault. Use common sense and proper gun safety and you should have nothing to worry about.
But in your case any unregistered gun in the possesion of a minor will land your stupid but in jail. Why do you need to carry one, to look cool. Give me a break.

Depends on where you live. Those laws vary from state to state. The constitution should allow us to be armed but to the people in washington dc it is just a piece of paper.
In some places that I lived in the past nothing would be done. In other places you would be arrested.

that sounds ignorant, i can see in certain parts of your city you have to carry a weapon but just to flash it. i stay in Oak Park so i need heat but i pray i never have to use it. to flash heat and pistol whip somebody will get you killed its either come hi or stay low. like i tell my kids dont get a gun get an education so u wont have to be in a area where u need one. you under 18 homie get from round that ish and live as long as u can. remember u live by the gun you die by it.

yes there can be jail time..how much i dont remember
there is usually bail except in cases of murder or rape...

the constitution wasn't talking about 16yo thugs jocking stepdad's glock. if they find it on you, you will be in the system. if they find it in your hand, you will be in a bag.
