Because people do not like hearing the truth. Like the woman asking her husband if she looks fat. People want things sugar coated and watered down. People who are blunt and real about things are considered a**holes. The truth sometimes hurts.

if the person is sincerly telling the truth then the most common response is denial...nobody wants to be caught out. truth hurts...some of the times it could be consireded as judgment ..." You do you think u are"...lol...all depends on the other persons personality and the circumstanses behind the denial...maybe they dont want to get hurt...or just that their compulsive liars and dont know the difference.

Because its not THE TRUTH. Its THEIR version of the TRUTH. Why should we listen to theirs when they disallow ours? They spit on us and call us names, but expect us to "embrace" their views.
