I believe that Conservatives and Liberals basically want the same things, though they both seem to deny this all the time. It is how to get those things that they want that splits them apart.
Personally, I usually side with the Conservative way of doing things, but there are also exceptions. The majority of my friends are Liberal, and I like them just fine, so obviously it is not entirely impossible for these two political groups to get along. ^^

I am neither "liberal" nor "conservative". I am not a "moderate" either. I am a "rationalist".
I believe that political or ideological extremism is never a good thing, and I think that liberals and conservatives, by political definitons, are extreme in their tactics and values, which does no real good for a public that generally is neither of the two. However, I believe that both liberals and conservatives have, in their opinions, the best interests of the country at heart, even if they can never agree on those interests or how to enact them.

Conservatives tend to be fiscally responsible. There. I have tossed an olive branch. Conservatives can return the favor by admitting there's nothing wrong with giving a tree a big ol' hug.

Awe now, I don't hate liberals.. just strongly dislike the ones that rant on and on about things they have absolutely no clue about. I have friends that are liberals, that goes beyond just saying one positive thing.

I think I am independant, but:
Libs: I love your care about natural human emotions, and what you believe is truly the interest of the people.
Cons: They are good money makers. W/o them, our economy wouldn't be so envied.

The best thing about conservatives is that they are very forgiving if you are born-again. Even if someone screws up their life, do nothing until the 40s, get DUI even when they are 42 ... but all is forgiven once he is born-again. So much so that this born-again gets elected president.

I am conservative lets see one positive thing about liberals humm ..............ok I got one! No that doesn't work .....................let's see......................as far as their idiology goes no I can't say that I agree with any part of it. One thing about them though they sure can scream and whine louder then a 6 month old baby who is teething. Is that agreeing? lol
