The United States has responded to the Islamic terrorists' threats - no debate there.
There have been many mistakes and miscalculations - again, no debate there.
We have no precedent to refer to for facts or history in a war against an ideology. There can be no expert opinions or advice based on past examples - there are no past examples. This is new terortory.
FACTS: The Islamic radicals now know that killing innocent men, women and children - unlike in the past - will not be without serious consequences.
Saddam is gone and a fledging democratic government has been established. The Iraqi people have voted in a free election.
My question is simple - what exactly and how can I expect the liberal mindset in this country to respond to the threat of terror in the future if they allow us to fail with our present policies?
Don't bother telling me that Bush is a lier, we don't belong in Iraq, etc...That's all in the past. I'm directing this question to now and in the future

No kool aide here. No one can dispute the facts I laid out.
It is a simple question: We have not/cannot protect our borders - more security at home is fine, but it's not an effective answer against terror and you know it.
How exactly will liberals protect future generations from terrorists? What great plan or idea do they have to stop demented people intent on killing us?
And, no, I am not a hard core republican - but I am a realist.

Liberals don't believe in fighting...they would rather talk to terrorists, find out why they hate us, come back and try to change our way of life so that we are less likely to offend the rest of the world. I can't trust the liberal agenda.

...Just exactly HOW have we responded to the "terrorist" (Islamic or otherwise...) threats?? Have we captured bin Laden? Have we even looked for him? Has Al Queda gotten smaller?
We have created more people with hate for the US, and we have done nothing to create a more peaceful Middle East.
We have given radicals a new place to grow--Iraq!!
How would YOU protect us? Bomb everyone???

With 3000 dead, not to mention the thousands of Iraqis killed, and Bush changing his spew from "victory" to an acceptable outcome, do you think the conservatives have done better?
FACT: There was no Al Quaeda in Iraq before. They're there now
FACT: Iran was being kept in check by Iraq before. Now they're IN IRAQ
FACT: Shias, Sunnis, and Khurds got along because THEY HAD TO. They don't have to anymore and since we disbanded the army, we threw a lot of well trained people out of work with no hope of a better life and minds open for hate and fear. That's where the sectarian violence comes from.
Yeah, you're probably going to give my answer a thumbs down...just like bush-baby does to the more sensible minds around him.

The democrats have already passed legislation to implement several of the 9-11 commission's recommendations for protecting America. Republicans didn't do so because they were afraid it might cut into the amount of taxpayer funds they are stealing in Iraq.
If you bothered to inform yourself rather than soaking up loony right-wing propaganda you would have known that.

Simple when attacks are carried out by terrorists against us or other nations we go get those responsible. Not attack countries and overthrow governments who had little if anything to do with it

The Bush policy is a failed policy. Now you expect the Democrats to bail him out?

We are a target for terrorists because of our imperialist policies. Lose the imperialism, and you lose the terrorist threat. Ever wonder why nobody attacks Brazil or Sweden?

Wow - you're certainly drinking the White House Kool-Aid, aren't you? Good for you! Why think on your own when you have Bill O'Reilly, Ann Coulter, and Sean Hannity doing it for you?
