They look like they are disintegrating because they are. Snails need to be fed food that has a good source of calcium, they don't live off of algae like a lot of people think. If you can't supply them with that then you can add calcium to the water itself in the form of liquid calcium, Kents liquid calcium is good and you should be able to find it in most pet stores.

if you have any problem, like can't figure out your tax forms, take it to the vet.

it disintegrate because it's dead... remove them from the tank because the dead snail will foul the water.

oh, and their shell needs calcium or it'll get weak too.. the calcium is already in your tap water.. just make more frequent water changes.

add some baking soda 1 teaspoon per 20 gallons

poor water condition. if ph is too high or low it will disinigrate. as well as hard or soft water.

do a water change using reverse osmosis water or bottled water

thatll help you. add a couple of java fuens and ull be set! good luck.

MAYBE they are dying... check tro see if anything is in the shell! Shells do not normally turn white...
