A blog is a web-based log. The usual format is a constant running commentary made by the contributor, and delineated by some format that separates each new entry (usually with a date and time).

People use blogs to talk about everything and nothing in particular. Some people use blogs for very focused opinions. An example could be a blog that details your restaurant experiences, strangers you meet during the day, or your sex life. Or all three.

With constant and serious attention to your blog, you could get a fair following of readers. You could also be monitored by companies because of the potential value or perceived draw of your opinions. Some people will also take their popular blogs and publish books from them.

If you want to start your own blog, you can do so on your yahoo 360 account. For free. You could also do a search above on free, blog and pick one of several other sites.

If you are serious, and give it consistent attention, you too can be a star and make some coin in the blog world.

Note. For first timers blogs could seem a little difficult to follow. This is because of the linear method they are usually entered. They may seem a little disarrayed. Well, they are, except being chronologically ordered. Don't let that discourage you. They can be read by others by search engine results of information people were looking for. Interesting blogs are usually followed like daily soaps by people, so no search is required.

A blog is a user-generated website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order.

Blogs often provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual although some focus on photographs (photoblog), sketchblog, videos (vlog), or audio (podcasting), and are part of a wider network of social media.

The term "blog" is derived from "Web log." "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

As of November 2006, blog search engine Technorati was tracking nearly 60 million blogs.

Blog is a description of yourself, the things that you like, and let other people know about you in your own words. Its not bad. At least it's a place where people can see things about you and your personality.
