Well in about four weeks you are not going to have time for a hobby. Seriously.

However, there are so many hobbies out there. Why not take up some scrapbooking? This will prep you for when that precious new baby comes along. If you like the computer, you could make your own scrapbook backgrounds and print them out. You could start putting the first of many books right now. Take pictures of your belly, the baby's room....whatever.

Or you could spend the last month of your pregnancy volunteering at a library or a school reading to children. You could visit some nursing homes and visit with the residents.

A hobby should be something you enjoy doing. Something that you have a special interest in.

Good luck.

Paint.

Believe me, when you have the baby, you won't have time to do ANYTHING. And even if your baby gets to bed early enough and starts sleeping through the night (even if it's for 12 hours like mine), you'll only have a few hours a day to do housework, eat, shower, read, watch t.v., or play on the computer. You will never be bored AGAIN. Good luck ;)

P.S. It's midnight and I've had my "alone" time for about 5 hours now but Embra wakes up @ 6am so I only have about 6 hours of sleep. And babies don't know what weekends are.

Try scrapbooking or sewing. You could make something for the new baby. And you could get some stuf together to make a scrapbook. I love it. I am a stay at home mom. My daughter is 6 months old. She has a scrapbook from every thing. You could sew a little baby blanket or something. And if you are not big on sewing. You can go to the local walmart store and buy a kit.

In a few weeks you will have a 24 hour a day job. Babies are the hardest work you will ever do.

Until then, cook up a lot of stews, chili, soups and other things you and your husband like to eat. Put it in the freezer in portion or meal sizes.
It will pay-off after the baby comes and you don't have time to cook. Your husband will appreciate it.

Speaking of your husband - make a little time just for him after the baby comes. A baby puts a strain on the marriage.

Sewing or knitting are good sit-down hobbies. If you're bad with a needle and thread (like I am) then Latchhooking is an option. You can latchhook rugs, pillows, tapestries, it's pretty fun and easy.

Swimming - in an indoor pool

Scrapbooking.

Or you could start organizing things - like photo albums, or closets.

Just remember - Once the little one comes into your life, you'll have plenty to do...

Are you an artsy/crafty type person? If you are, find an arts and craft store and check out all of the stuff that they have available for you to do. I personally like to do cross stitch, its something that you can pick up, work on and then set down when needed.

I have always enjoyed doing models (like cars and planes and such) Just make sure you do them in a very well ventilated area to avoid fumes (the back patio is nice. fresh air and creative mojo at the same time.)

I built my husband's dream car while I was preggo with our son (1/32 scale of course lol)
