Under Texas Family Code § 2.009, the county clerk may not issue a marriage license if either applicant is under 16 years of age. However, the county clerk may issue a marriage license to an applicant less than 16 years of age if there is either: 1) parental consent; 2) documentation of a prior dissolved marriage of the applicant; or 3) a court order.

When I was 17, I thought I ruled the world and knew everything. Guess what? I was just a clueless jackass, just like you and every other 17-year-old out there.
You shouldn't be thinking about that now.
You need to live life and experience the good and bad. Find yourself. Do you know what the most important things in this life are? No, you don't.
If you want the answer to your question, call your local courthouse.

If you are not smart enough to find out what the legal age is to marry in Texas (and spell Texas with a capital letter) you are not smart enough to get married.
Being a babysitter to a couple of siblings is not a measure of maturity for marriage.

Texas: The age is 18 without from a parent or your legal guardian. If under the age of 16, the law requires that the couple receives a court order before being allowed to marry.

You will need a parent`s written consent, meaning a parent will have to go to the court house with your when you get your license. I live in Texas, and the legal age is 18.

18 w/o the consent of parents in Texas. 16 and 17 yr olds need parental consent.
The only states that don't allow 18 yr olds to get married w/o parental consent are Nebraska (19 is the magic year for them) and Mississippi (21 for them)

In Texas the legal age to get married is 18, however you may get married younger if you have parental consent.

I think in most states it is 18. Although there might be an amendment in your state's constitution that will let you get married before that, as long as you have parental concent. In Alaska (where I live) you can be as young as 16. I hope this helps, and I hope you find the answers you look for.
