hi!! as you can see from the Link I sent you, much plays into the price. mint mark, and the different levels of condition. if it is a very nice coin with no wear or bag marks you may consider sending it to pcgs for grading. this is not free but will bring top dollar if you ever wish to sell. pcgs is top rate!!

treetown2, PCGS is not a coin dealer and does not buy coins, They just grade them and put them into their holders. The prices listed there are about what that coin sells for in their holder. Now did you check for a mint mark on your coin ? It is located on the eagle side below the wreath near the bottom of the coin. If there is a letter there you will have to re-ask the question listing that letter or letters. 1883 no mint mark (Philadelphia mint) had a mintage of 12,291,039 and is not a rare or scarce coin. In grade very good it is worth $14.00 up to $37.00 in average mint state. It need to be graded by a dealer, or see if your local library has a grading guide for coins. Values are about what a dealer would pay.
