I would try going to Disney's Magic Kingdom, Disneys Epcot or Disneys MGM. Also SeaWorld is very fun and the whale shows are a must! Also Universal has a lot to offer so I would also check that out! If you are a thrill seeker I would deffinetly say Universal's Adventure park. It has many fun rollar coasters! If you are looking for more of a relaxed vacation I would go to Coco Beach. Its about an hours drive away from Orlando and its great and usually pretty clean. Beware though Florida has one of the highest shark attack rates!!! Hope this helps

Don't spend all your time at Disney World. Go on the Orlando Ghost Tour--it includes a lot of Orlando history in addition to ghosts, and drive to nearby towns and see the "real" Florida, e.g., Mount Dora (30 miles north or Orlando) a little town from the Victorian era.
If you're driving (rather than flying), prepare to spend a day in St. Augustine. It is the oldest city in the US and has all sorts of museums and tours that appeal to people of all ages, e.g., Ripley's Believe-it-or-Not Museum, history tours by trolley or horse and buggy, and three or four different ghost tours
See what else (in addition to Disney World) Orlando has to offer before you make the trip. A good starting point is http://www.lastminutevillas.net/orlando-travel.html

My favourite dinner location is in Sanford. It's known as Hollerbach's Willow Tree Cafe. They have German meals and Beer and a are living polka-ish band that is very exciting there on Thurs-Sunday. It's valued at the shuttle north of town. Also verify out Orlando's possess brewery at Orlando Brewing enterprise- it is virtually downtown on Atlanta Ave. Or feed the swans/geese at Lake Eola. Or verify out the flora at Leu Gardens.

My in-laws (grown ups AND kids) all enjoyed Universal Studios and Universal Island of Adventure a lot. The rides are just incredible, and there really is something for all ages. In the evenings there are many restaurants that also offer entertainment (like Knights of the Round Table, or something like that) along with great food.
Sea-World is another must-see. The shows are great, especially for children (who remain awed by all the marvelous things sea creatures can do).
