Adversities only make us stronger. I've had a few but my greatest one was being alone after being married for 17 yrs. I had to leave my husband. He was a compulsive gambler for the last 7 yrs and had a girl friend on the side.

Loss of a child, and then having a child with special needs within a year of that loss. It's all good now, but it was hard when I was going through it the first couple of years.
