toilets are sold with left hand and right hand trip levers. I need the trip to be on the left side as I face the toilet. Do I order a left or right hand trip lever?.

Some toilet tanks allow for installation on either side, for instance the Niagra Flapperless sold by HD, has a side lever where the tank can be installed either way. Check with the sales associate at your local hardware store.

i think it's funny that most people never think of these types of things. when it is specified that it is a right or left trip lever, that is as you are facing the toilet. you would want to order a left hand trip lever.

Where in the world have you ever seen a trip lever on the left side of a crapper. That is the left as you are sitting on it. Yours is on the right. Just go to any hardware or plumbing store and get one.

Who cares?, just be glad the damm thing HAS a lever and DOES flush. What possible difference does it make as long as you've got one hand.
