basketball really has to do with natural skill. Hand-eye coordination, quickness, and touch. My only suggestion is to shoot over and over from all different spots of the floor. Then find the place you are most comfortable. Get a friend to guard you and try to score with him/her in your face. You will naturally learn ways to fake or decoy the defender. You want to make it so the player is out of position. And you can get to your most comfortable spot, while also losing your defender.

If you are not good at dribbling, you must practice. Dribble constantly with one hand, try looking up and not at the ball. Once you can dribble without looking at ball and not lose control, then try again with your weak hand, tho this is not nearly as important (for a person learning in 2 days).

As for defense, Its very hard to teach defense to a beginner. You need experience and knowledge of the game. A simple tip I can tell you is if your opponent is very good, do not look at the ball while defending, look at the player himself. He/she is most likely to use a ball fake that will cause you to be vulernable and let up an easy bucket. Try to force the ball out of the players dominant hand, make him/her use their weak hand. And after they shoot, turn around and BOX OUT! Which means you should feel for the defender, and very physically do not let them around you for the rebound. You want that ball and you need to work hard once it comes off the rim. Push your butt into them and hold your arms back and feel for them. If you feel them with your arms going to your left slide left and dont let them in. Fight for that board!

Its very hard to learn basketball in 2 days, but I hope I atleast gave you some pointers that can improve your game a bit, good luck.

Go to Walgreens and buy yourself an ace bandage. Wrap it around your knee and tell them you sprained your knee and cannot play.
