I have just learned that people who always and often say "I'm freezing" in cold weather, are hypochondriacs, in reality.
According to above fact, I can't categorize myself as I generally like winter, but hate the cold; not taking care of health, but drink and eat food with vitamins.

Who told you that was kidding, because, as you've already seen in the other answers, being a hypochondriac means a total different thing than feel freezing on winter, I guess that depends more of how a person tolerates cold. If we speak about feeling pain, men are by far the "weak" half of us, because of a simple rule of nature, that decided that women can take 7 times more pain than men...then again that is normal, thinking only of the fact that we have to give birth to our sons:)) On my opinion, being a hypochondriac does not depend on being a woman or a man, but on how our mind works and how strong we are as persons.

Well I would have to say the women are more of hypochondriacs then men. A hypochondriac is not someone who says they are freezing in cold weather, it has a lot more to do than that. A hypochondriac is someone who constantly thinking they are ill, they have a disease, something life threatening, or just tend to feel every ache or eye twitch is due to some underlying cause. They are worriers and have alot of anxiety due to there health in general. Women have more of a tendency to worry more than men and this is probably the reason they tend to be more of a hypochondriac.

Truthfully men mostly because we are babies. For the larger population the majority of these men are Virgos also because they are born hypochondriacs such as myself.Don't get me wrong women do their fair share of whining and sobbing but they are also more resilient and for the most part suck-it-up and go on.Dudes however, well you might as well put a fork in us and carve us like a Christmas turkey because we are done-done and done.We are out until we get better and usually it's just a puppy cold so-we need loving tooo...lol!peace.Riz>...

A hypochondriac is someone who believes they are sick when they are not. It has nothing to do with "freezing" when it is cold oustide, or exaggerating any point. A hypochondriac will hear about someone on tv having some rare disease and then decide that they have it, too, even though they do not.

Most of the serious hypochondriacs I know are female.

These women are not the main breadwinners in their families and can thus get away with imagined illnesses (that doctors can never identify) that require them to stay in bed for weeks on end.

Men. The only hypochondriacs I've known are men. Not only are they "sick" more often, they are "sicker" than women too. At least they are bigger babies about it.

Yes we are hypochondriacs. That is why we live longer than men.
