would you feel comfortable calling Babe accross a field? I have two horses one a gelding call Dempsey and one a mare called Millie. Both horse where named when I got them, but I had to decide on Millies show name. She became Spot On Millie as she suffers from allergic reactions and wasoften covered in spots!!
Try to fit the name to the horse. Perhap look at some race horse names for inspiration

My horses name was Ginger. But being a thorobred they tend to take on names from their lineage. Johnny Appleseed.=mack or Springwood farms =Ginger Appalacia breeds=J Appleseed. but hopefully u will have the regis. names already. I had a tenn. walker named Vixen dancer like santa's reindeer. I was only 13 then.

I took in a starving quarterhorse. I used to call her Sweethart until I decided on a name. I started to just name her Sweetheart, but I decided on Cinnamon. I've had her 2 months and she has gained so much weight and doing fine. She's still such a sweetheart, but I officially call her my little Cinnamon Sweetheart.

I use to love doing this with horses because I was so involved with them at one time. Those are names that came up but were never used.

my ponies were Silver, Star, and Dudley Do Wrong
my horses were Regal (a thououghbred, and he knew he was king) and Magic (an Arabian)
My favorite little boy named his hamster President Porkchop...but I don't think that's how you're going...
If you're going for trendy Heiress is good. You could also try something cutsie like MaddieBell Jean (my mom's puppy)
