I just read that the 4gb one will be US$499 and the 8gb will be $599, but I'm not sure if this is with or without a contract or whatever.

On January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs announced that the iPhone will be offered in two configurations with two different prices, based on a 2-year phone service contract: a 4 GB model for USD$499, and a 8 GB model for USD$599. You can browse the official Apple website or Wikipedia for more information. Hope this helps.

the 4gb will be $499 and the 8gb $599 with a cingular 2year contract during the unveiling of the i-phone they did not discuss how much it would be without a contract and anyways it will only work with cingular/At&t so i guess you gotta get a contract anyways
