During the last election season, Tim Pawlenty (Republican Governor of Minnesota) said, "I'd stand with President Bush if his approval rating was 2 percent, I won't abandon my leader just because times are tough."

Tonight Tim said he does not support the hair-brained troop surge idea. (I added hair-brained. He didn't say that.)

So is Timmy P. a flip-flopper or has Bush's approval rating really dropped that low? Anyone seen a poll that was done after 8:00 pm CST tonight?

I think it was teetering right on the 1.99% - 2.00% mark, but FOX News reports it's at about 82%....

I haven't heard any of the approval ratings yet, but I'm sure we will soon. I think Tim P. is sincere in his support of Bush, but just not all of the Presidents decisions. He was right though in saying, that "times are tough"...... (and scary too).

No, my friends & I support the president 100%. One election won does not power give you.

You aren't serious about actually believing what the polls say?? And because the liberal media says he has a low approval rating it makes it so? When are you people going to learn to think for yourselves.

You can count me in as a part of the 2% who support Bush. Go, George, do your best!

Bush doesn't care about his approval rating. He is not running in 2008. He is doing what he believes is right. Get over it and stop complaining!!!!!!

No, but I find it quite amusing that he admitted he was WRONG, something you don't see too often.

I am assuming the rating is probably a negative 2 at this juncture.
