It is getting harder and harder to keep traditions. I think you should try to keep them, but not worry to much if they fade. It is going to happen on its own and there is no need to stop until it becomes inconvient

Sure a nation can keep to its traditions even in these days of Globalization. Tradition in Society has stronger bond than other changes. But it may change or suffer a bit according to the needs.
In fact Culture of a Country depends more on Traditions than other changes. It is a refinement which cannot be stopped. When we go through the past History of 4000 years,of human race never global oneness has been achieved. This will continue so in future also.

one can only decide about his own beliefes and his own traditions ...
and anyone may fight hard against globalized traditions, but it wont take too long time to keep it, you cant just cant. traditions, and aniversaries are celebrated not longer than 150-200 years... it is because ppl were not in the social status of celebrating, only the romanticized society could make it happen. they choose national foods, ational hymns, national costumse etc.... it wasnt before the 19th century... it is because we are all globalizing these all came to life because of the globalized world. like meet is imported in to europe from argentina, like some pieces in to a car are mad in south Asia, an so on.... think: if you are not even eating foods prepared in your own country.. you will need smthing to feel it is yours, it is your nations stuff. thats how guvern says that 4th of July is freee and national day for everyone, it covers smthing in hÃstory, but not only because on that day happened something, but because to manipulate YOU to feel yourself a REAL AMERICAN... (how do you know it was 4th july back than 500 yrs ago when almost nobody had calendar...) if the globalized world goes in this direction, you can think... while America is celebrating 4th July, the rest of the world is working, and so on with other coutries.... maybe at some point the globalized economics and idustries will not allow ppl to not work on any day....
all traditions and free days are manipulated by the guvern, or some churches....

Every country has its own traditions and cultural events. I assume by globalization you are referring to economic globalization. If that's the case, it will not effect the culture of a people. As young of a country The USA we have unique holidays and traditions that are not observed by others. I really do not think July 4th is a day of celebration in England. Nor is July 14th "Bastille Day" in France a big party in the USA. There are certain historical events that are celebrated by many countries. For instance VE day in World War II is celebrated in England and France. However, I am certain that Germany doesn't have a throw down .
I do not think we will ever reach a time where there are no borders and we all think as one. You can't get people in this country to agree on what good bar-b-q is. You will get a different answers in Texas, Memphis, and North Carolina.
Traditions are essential to nation building. That's why we have stories of Paul Revere, George Washington and the Cherry tree, etc..etc. I really do not see a big Super Bowl party happening in China any time soon.
I believe that a people as a whole will always hold on to traditions. Its what gives you the "warm fuzzy feeling". I know this is a simple answer, but gosh darn it that's what we did in "the good ol' days"
