DO NOT DOWNLOAD LIMEWIRE!!! My computer just crashed a couple weeks ago because of it. It had a Trojan horse virus. It sneaks up on your computer so even if you download limewire for one day and delete it, the virus has already sneaked in. That's why they call it the Trojan horse kinda like Troy and mythology. Anyway, the repair damage was around $700. TOTALLY not worth it.

I have used limewire for a while, and haven't come across any problems. However, I would never load an exe file from limewire, since you could never verify it's source, and exe files can be infected. Use limewire to download media files only, no exe files should ever be grabbed from limewire.

i have been using limewire ever since WINMX was taken off the net. and i have not come across any problems..If u feel its a threat than dont use it. thats for anyone that says it is..b-cus for tha past years i have been having a good outcome on limewire. Virus's can be catched from anywhere on the net. U just have to be careful on what u download. Common Sense.
ITS SAFE SO EVERYONE SHOULD JUST STOP CRYING ALREADY

actually limeware itself does not contain any virus or spyware, however when you download songs, videos, etc... be careful because alot of the files are viruses...a good way to weed out the bad files is to stay away from exe. files and any file that is really small...for example under 1mb or like 187kb,64kb,etc...

songs are fine, just double check artist info and song length if u know it to make sure ure downloading the file you want. if most songs that come up as search results are the same size and one is like 10 times larger, theres something weird with that one...go with the average ones

Multimedia files should never be .exe (executable) files. You should avoid anything you did not buy, that is a .exe file.
