KG definitely isn't stupid, he is just very loyal. But I understand what you're trying to say. He will never win a championship with the T-Wolves...it's like Paul Pierce staying with the hapless Celtics. Great players on losing teams...don't they feel frustrated to spend their careers on teams they know will never win? I hope both Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce soon leave their teams for contenders...because players like that definitely deserve much better than being stuck on perennial losing teams. I really admire their loyalty, but the time has come to move on to better things.

Its ashame philly couldnt work a deal with minnesota to send AI to the t-wolves. Both players have been inadequatley surrounded by inferior talent over their careers. And it would have been very fitting to see the two players who deserve a championship most, get a chance to combine forces and take on the loaded western conference. If Garnett isn't dealt this summer or during draft, he most likely will stay for the remainder of his contract, which is another year, when he will get to sign with any team under the cap for a load of money. It would be interesting that he could possibly sign with a team (memphis, philly, charlotte) that could get Greg Oden in the draft. Oden/Garnett would sure be fun to watch.

Basketball isn't all about Championship rings. If he likes the system in Minnesota and he likes his 20+ million dollars a year, he's gonna stay there. I don't blame him. It's not a stupid move and Reggie Miller wasn't stupid for staying in Indiana. I would rather play and lose with one team for 15 years of my career than play for 14 years and then in my last year when I'm about to retire, join a championship teams bandwagon.
I personally don't respect players who join the bandwagon of good teams. ESPECIALLY superstars. That's just my opinion. Karl Malone and Gary Payton were IMO, the best PF and the second best PG of the 90's. I lost all respect for them when they left their carrer long teams to join the Lakers bandwagon and then in the end not even win a ring ('cept GP). With GP it was the Lakers and then the Heat. I understand when a player decides to leave in the middle of his carrer, but if you're gonna leave your carrer long team when you're 38, 18 years into your career to join a bandwagon, you're a loser. This isn't exactly the case with KG but it's getting there. If I were him I wouldn't leave yet. I would however leave when my contract is up since he still isn't THAT OLD.

its like this. KG loves minnesota and doesnt want to leave and in the NBA these days, no player is untradable. its rare to find a player who stays with 1 team the whole time. i think KG will stay with Minny if he is OK without getting a ring. he will be in the hall of fame no doubt but people will criticize the fact that he doesnt have a ring. he can do what malone did, leave the jazz and go to LA. malone who has only known 1 team left the jazz to win a ring in LA, same with payton. obviously it didnt happen and payton went to miami and won his ring along with alonzo. if KG ever did leave, i think LAL is a good fit for him. he already owns a house there and playing with Kobe will give him a good chance at a title.

I am a Twolves fan and know that KG is not interested in his own stats, he just wants to win. that being said, i think he will eventually leave the Wolves. I hate to say it, but it is true. As long as McHale keeps making stupid moves and screwing himself capwise, the team is in a bad spot. As a MN fan, i would love to see him stay and get the talent he needs, but as a KG fan, I would love to see him with a great team in the championship. I DO believe that he is still reletively young, and could still have a shot to win in MN, but they still have like 2-3 years of bad contracts around him that they would have to unload. Either McHale has to magically start making great moves, or he needs to get fired...SOON. PS- I do not think he is stupid, but maybe just too patient.

I believe he will leave when his contract is up then he'll get his ring. Any team that is on the way to the playoffs can use Garnett he's simply is a great ball player.

i can understand him not wanting to leave cause he's a guy who loves the game, but he does need to realize he's going to get the championship, well ateast he won't with the t~wolves.. i would love to see him and his worth ethic down here in houston.. doubt it will happen.. he's an awesome player and has been a good example of how to play for nba.. it's hard to compare him to reggie miller cause miller was getting himself to the playoffs on a regular basis.. they just kept choking.. he didn't, his team did..

I totally agreed with the feeling he will not win there. I hope he gets on another team that is a contender so people can see this guy more in the playoffs.

You can't blame him for his loyalty, but it would be nice to see him with better players around him. I look at Allen Iverson in Denver now, and his all around greatness is really showing. He looks nothing like the guy in Philly.
I just hope KG doesn't wait too long. He's my favorite player to watch because he brings 100% of passion every night.

this is kinda like shaq movin to the heat, within 2 years he brought one home, as for KG he has NONE, ZERO! so if he wants a better chance then move on to a better team!?! common sense!? yes i think he should move, the only reason hes still with them is cuz he gets the ball alot, gets rebounds, and is probably building on stats then building on a championship team!?!? i would move if i were him
