One of my daughters is especially prone to this problem. After wearing shirts just a few times, they have noticable discoloration in the armpits that I can't get out, even with bleach. Is it the deodorant? We have well water...

Perspiration odor, antiperspirants and deodorants stains may be prevented or lessened by promptly applying a solution of 1 tablespoon ammonia and 1/2 cup water, as soon as the garment is taken off. Rinse thoroughly. Once rinsed, it will not harm cotton or cotton blend materials to dry before laundering.

The stains aren't from deodorant. I have the same problem and all of my white shirts have discoloration and I don't know how to get them out. You should probably talk to your daughter about her sweating because I have sweating problems and that was basically the reason. Doctors can give you prescription deodorant and there are other options. As for the stains, the only thing I've done is bleach and it only works sometimes. Hope you find a way.

Try rubbing a cut lemon generously on the stains and let the lemon juice sit for 10 or 15 minutes and then launder, using an oxygen bleach detergent.

Your daughter may be using far more deodorant than she actually needs and the excess gets into her clothes and causes the stain. Deodorant is quite waxy and the lemon juice helps to break that down.

the perfect blend to apply is this: equivalent factors of Tide Bleach Dishwasher Detergent blend with very warm Water, and soak for thus long as you could. Then placed the garments and the blend contained in the showering gadget. in the journey that they don't look somewhat white, then let them lay contained in the solar earlier you dry... If this does not paintings - purchase new t shirts. This works on pink wine, mustard, beet juice.... you could also run them via the dishwasher... for some reason the dishwasher detergent is tremendous to get out stains in something white.

pour detergent on the stain and rub it in for a few min, throw in the washer and use a little bleach as well. To prevent the problem, get some good deoderant for her, mitchem or adidas.

I get rid of those stains either spraying "pinesol" directly on the spots before washing or by pouring a can of coca-cola in the wash cycle with all the white clothes (it also removes the grey look on white clothes)

Hello =)

Well,....She needs to wear "anti-perspirant" ... not just deodorant...that might help...

Now...as to getting out the stains.... wash whites in hot water with clorox -- don't be afraid to use a little extra, and something called "La France"....it's a bluing agent that everyone used to use many years ago......it perks up whites quite substantially. Borax also helps.......

Unfortunately, we are forgetting how to do laundry properly, because our clothing is getting more disposable.

Namaste,
