I live alone so there is no other living creature here to rescue
I would sadly say my hard drive . I have scanned over 100 years of family pictures and 35 mm slides onto my computer and organized it. The pictures still exist with various relatives but it would take to much to re do. And no I did not back anything up. I also put together a binder with all my important documents and birth cert. the last time I moved. It is very accessible. Sorry I know that is 2.

Well I live alone so family persons wouldn't be an issue but I would grab my folder of my family tree project and as many family pictures, CD's of pictures that I could.

if it was items and not people well ithought really hard and i dont know what id take to tell you the truth,as long as the people were safe i wouldnt bother with anything else.

I wouldn't even care about material items, I would get my two dogs out. Maybe my laptop if I have time!

I'd grab both the birdcages and my file that has all my info in it; medical, car, bank accounts, credit cards, insurance, all that, and run down the stairs!

As you say an item I'm assuming my kids would be safe, I'd grab as many pairs of shoes as I could, and my mobile phone,and my make up bag, and oh, you said one, damn it, bye bye shoes :-(

assuming all living things would take care of themselves, i would grab the car keys. but i don't know that 2 minutes would be enough to find them!

Great question!
It would take one second to make that decision. I would rescue my parrot, without a doubt. In my eyes she's irreplaceable.

Firstly my pooch, he's my life...if any time left then get my mp3 player and then old family photo's of my dear grandad etc.
