Ah, Cape Town is great! I live in Johannesburg, but I have been to CT on holiday many times! During December, which is the middle of summer and the holiday season, the place gets packed with people and the weather gets very hot-great for going to the beach! The beaches there are great too! There is Muizenburg where the water is cooler, and then the main beaches such as Camps Bay, Clifton & Sea Point which are very popular, yet the water is freezing! The people there are friendly. There are also the 2 famous hikes-Lion's Head and Table Mountain which you should do! And there is a cable car up top Table Mountain. You could also go on a helicopter ride over the mountain. Another good thing to do is to go to the Waterfront/Harbour. From there you could go on a boat ride to the famous Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned many years ago. I went there and it was awesome! If you're not so interested in all the history of the island, it may get a bit boring though, but I highly recommend the trip! Other than that....I can't think of much else! I hope you have a great time! Be well :)

Johannesburg is the next largest city in Africa, with more than 3 million persons contacting this bustling city home and if you want to visit that impressive town then that hotelbye is the spot to start. Johannesburg presents readers an experience as special and varied as the city itself. Whether you are on business, looking for a cultural experience, an adrenaline hurry or simply want to relax and unwind for a few times, the town of Johannesburg has every thing you're looking for and more! In Johannesburg you are able to go to the Soweto (an abbreviation for South-western Townships) at 20 kilometres southwest of Johannesburg. This place presents visitors a trip into the soul of the battle for freedom and the birthplace of the battle for democracy.

I've been there, in fact I was born there.

It's quite safe compared to the rest of South Africa, studying there is definitely a good option. The weather is generally fine.

Motti_Shish has said a lot of good things, but I'd like to add that you must try the "wine route". And stop over in Franshoek and Paarl. Absolutely brilliant. Enjoy :)
