ok i just got a new game from my friend, and i popped in the game but it never loads. u know how on ps2 there are those color strings as soon as u turn on ur ps2. well i have that but that thing only lasts for 2 seconds, then it goes the browser and system configuration page. can anyone help me PLEASE

I had the same problem. Inside there is a little white gear that adjusts your eye lazer. You have to take the plate off inside to get to it. turn it one notch at a time & keep trying until the game loads. It worked for me.

My PS2 is starting to crap out, I think the eye is going bad. But this is what I have to do to get any game working, it may or may not work in your case.
1. Stand your PS2 in the vertical position
2. Turn on unit and hit the eject button
3. Open the browser
4. Load the game
5. And if this doesn't work try putting your controller in port #2, I don't why this helps but it does in my case-Good Luck

What is the name of the Game ? It could be the game is not compatible with the PS2.

Is it a burnt game? Or brand new out of the box?
Will it play anything else?
Maybe your system needs to be cleaned... you can buy the cleaner kits..
