If you are a member of the Armed Forces and receive orders to a combat zone and subsequently refuse those orders, you can and will be court-martialed. You may serve time in a military jail, or you may just be kicked out of the service, but you will NOT be "stood against a wall and shot." In the history of the United States, there has only been ONE person ever executed for desertion in time of war, and that was Pvt Eddie Slovik in WWII.

I doubt very seriously if that will ever happen again.

If they draft and don't change the laws, nothing would happen to women that didn't sign up for the Selective Service.

Men/Women who did would go to jail and lose some rights as an American, like the right to vote. They would also forfiet any Financial Aid they have albiet education, welfare, or medicare.

Men/Women who are already in the military, like myself, would be considered AWOL (absent without leave) and get sent to a High-Security Federal Prison like Ft. Leavonworth, Missouri.
