Yes I think that the computer age has some negative and positive.Computer age has had more negative affects than positive on our lifes. Everyone now depends on computers to make decisions for them. Back when computers were not around you had the so called thing of Customer service. Now it what the computer says and no one wants to do anything about it. The computer is a big monster that will lead us all by the hand. Then we will never now how to make our own decisions. When we were not in the computer age students actually had to do research for their Homework. This was not always easy, but helped our minds figure things out. There was more interaction between people in the world. There are so many negative things that I can name but I will not. Computers have brought some good to our world. We would not have the advances in Medical areas without them. But think computers in general have done more Harm than good.

Worse. If we are under attack, we're all going to be screwed. Won't be able to buy anything if there's no electric. No food, no gas for our cars, no heat, no nothing. Everyone today is so used to these modern conviences, but what if the day ever comes to where we're all in the dark? Terrorist attack, nuclear war, or just electrical composer blow ups from an attack or power surge? The younger generation that's always had computer access won't know how to handle the situation, they've never lived in a time without computer technology. It's scary when you think about it, and what this world had become. Total shut down of communications if this were to happen. Sure, the government will know what is going on, but all of us little people won't. Technology is great, but I think we're smart enough to come up with a back up plan too. Who knows what this cold future holds.

It has made life easier in the sense that things once tedious are now extremely simple, like writing a paper on a word processor. Technology that is a necessity makes life better, yet we cannot forget how it used to be and we must know how to maintain it. If it just makes life easier, then it is a luxury and which I think it makes people lazy in the long run unless they have a strong moral character.

Both. Technology made our lives a whole lot better: faster transportation and communication and stuff like that, but it also made it worse, like our planet slowly being destroyed by these modern things and people becoming too dependent on machines.

As far as medical science goes, it's better. But our escalating dependence on technology is going to come back to hurt us in the end. Plus, when we sit at a computer all day at work, then sit at a computer, tv or video game system all night...we get very fat and sedentary. I've purposely NOT bought a blackberry, hdtv, game system, Ipod or anything like that because I don't want to lose touch with my humanity. It's a dangerous thing to do.

Sometimes, I wonder.

Where the computer is concerned, it is a convenience to be able to store many files, pictures and music in one central place. But it can be an inconvenience when the PC acts up - like when you get "the blue screen of death" and everything just freezes up.

And everything has to be compatible with everything. That can be annoying.
