Ohio State came in thinking they were hot you know what and got they're butts handed to them on a silver platter because they didn't take Florida seriously. The players didn't prepare well and all of Ohio State's trick plays went out the window when the lost Ted Ginn Jr. The coaching was pretty bad too. But the worst part of Ohio State's performance was the offensive line. They were moving backwards all day. Troy Smith was getting sacked left and right and they couldn't get anything done on the ground game. Just an overall horrible showing by Ohio State.

For all you gushing Florida and SEC fans, lets not forget this was Ohio States second Championship appearance in 5 years. Both Michigan and Ohio State have won many many more championships than Florida or any SEC teams. The SEC is a great conference maybe even the best, but trashing the Big Ten is only setting yourselves up for you own butt kicking. Face it people, College football and conference strengths move in CYCLES. Just look at USC and Miami. Both teams disappeared for several years before recently resurfacing. But i can't say im surprised, most florida players don't know when to shut their mouths. I'm a buckeyes fan and I will take my lumps. But I also know that the Ohio State team i saw Monday night was not the Ohio State team i followed all season, even when we were only down a touchdown. A few different calls and a couple plays working differently and this ballgame could have been alot different. Don't forget the Gators started their first 4 drives in Buckeye territory. Anyhow congratulations enjoy it while you can Gators, it won't last forever.

Where do I start? Oh yeah speed. Florida had too much speed on defense and It basically threw Ohio State off the entire game. Troy Smith didn't have a chance sometimes, although he could have done a better job of stepping up into the pocket, as opposed to running outside (were he was greeted by a blue jersey). Jim Tressel panicked in the coaching department, and we really saw how important Ted Ginn is to Ohio State. He makes the rest of the offense that much better, (gotta respect the speed, defenses plan around him) Florida went straight man on the outside and pressured Troy Smith all day. When you can simplify things, you always have a better chance of winning. I expected Florida to score, so i wasn't too surprised by their offense. Also Florida plays in the SEC which is the best conference in football.

A mediocre Florida team did not beat Ohio State, an outstanding Florida team obliterated an unprepared, over-hyped Ohio State team. Go Gators.

They got spanked, whooped, trampled in to the ground.

Florida had a great game plan and executed it flawlessly.

Do you need more elaboration than that?

Additional Details:::: it's not just the Florida Gators that they can't win against. Ohio State is 0-8 against any team in the Southeast Conference. The level of the competition and the speed of the players is just too much for Ohio State to handle. But don't worry, you can still beat Michigan next year.

OSU did the best they could!

Florida mediocre?...They won the SEC...SEC means SECond to none!!!...SEC = the little NFL

The truth is, OSU plays in a pretender football conference, The Big Ten (11 but they can't count) who is still basking in the glory years of the 60's and 70's

They are the biggest fish in a VERY small football pond up there in Big Ten country.

Look at their schedule...Texas was a high quality win @ the horseshoe...The Michigan Wolverweenies?....Just ask USC how many tougher teams they played in the Pac 12!!!....USC is laughing at the Yellow and Blue!

The U of M Wolverweenies were just another pretender who played in the toughest High School football conference in America.

I love OSU but the glory days of the Big Ten (Big Tired) are long gone...They were exposed by Florida, USC and to a certain extent, LSU who beat Big Ten (Bad Ten...Slow 11)like Notre Dame (ND is NOT in the Big Tired Ten but they play them, are there geographically and would fit right in, woudn't they?)!

LSU didn't even play their A game...How bad would it have been if they had played 4 quarters of their A game?

Reasons Ohio State lost:

1.) Too slow
2.) Overrated QB
3.) Coach wears a sweater vest
4.) UF is a powerhouse, on D and on offense

And the biggest reason?

Ohio State fans are a bunch of crybabies. Stop trying to take away credit from UF with your dumb excuses about too much rest and Ted Ginn. You got beat, and you got beat really, really badly by a far superior team.

Florida was too fast on defense, and once Ginn got hurt, they had zero speed. Florida was just a better, faster team that was really ready for the game. Ohio State showed it's true colors, that the Big 10 Conference was overrated.

Mediocre Florida team? Let me ax you a question...Did you WATCH the game?

I'll admit that there are some mediocre college football teams in Florida, but the Gators are not one of them.
