i started smoking a cigarette before every game and for some reason i got better cuz then i realized it made me calm and make me think better, i think it really works, wat are ur ways? i knoe it seems stupid smoking a cigarette before ur game but it works, i turn to Kobe when i did, last game i scored 40 points and we won by 50 points, the only problem was i smelled like cigarettes during the game lol

Usually I want to get pumped before a game. That's weird that you would want to calm down. Just take deep breathes and go to your happy place. Don't think about the game and relax.

That cigarette didn't help you get that good. You are already that good. The cig had nothing to do with it. You need lung capacity for running up and down the court. Try this! My son used to do a few push ups in the locker room right before a game to rid him of nerves. He swore by it. Then there will be no cigarette smell, but a sweat smell which is synonomous with a basketball game.

First get something that you can listen to music on, then get a ball and just dribble it around to the beat of the music practicing moves. But make sure it is some music that pumps you up because once your blood starts pumping and you are listening to that music most of your nervousness not all will go away and you cannot wait to get on the court!

smoking before a game is stupid especially if u can score 40 points. u have a chance to go to the nba, but if u keep smoking u wont even live for that long

after awhile thats a bad habit, i dont blame you for what you do its just after awhile you could end up damaging your body, i know i sound like those commercials but thats how it makes you score those points, the stuff inside the cigarettes makes you relax and focused but really its just slowing down your body, anyways i would listen to some music that would pump you up, yell out stuff or just get hyped, but drugs ehh arent really the solution

what i do is just clear my mind...concentrate on how i want to play and dont worry about the peopel in the stands. i get myself mentally ready for the game and only thing bot it..and how im gonna hurt some1 lol

i would say take a basketball and sit on a chair or bench and put your headphones on and listen to the music and just play with the basketball, dribble it while sitting there
