The watch represented the change he would go through. Remember in the beginning he was focused on time, he had timed exactly how long it would take for a packasge to go from one place to the the place of delivery, the watch represented the start of his transformation.
The unopened package represented hope,he would get off the island and deliver it, which he did.
I don't think witlson represented anything, humans are social creatures. Without someone there to interact with he invented wilson.
The crossroads at the end is pretty obvious, it was the choice between going backwards or going forward and growing.

The watch is a place where time has no real meaning

The unopened package is the future (which is unknown)

Wilson is another aspect of one's persona

The cross is the crossroads. Where do we go from here when opetioons are limiteless?

that time didn't matter anymore because it was such an important factor to him in the beginning, especially with his job.

The package represented hope that he would be able one day get off the island & deliver that one package.

Wilson could've represented a number of things, but for me it was important to have some kind of contact with someone or in this case, something else besides your own thoughts. Wilson was his companion.

The crossroads at the end meant he could do anything, choose anywhere, basically DO ANYTHING because he just appreciated life.

I thought this was an excellent film. Tom Hanks did a superb job.

1. Time stopped for a man who lived for each minute.

2. Hope

3. Companionship

4. Paths to the right direction in his life

the watch could mean endless time or all the time in the world or no time limits or that things will never change

unopened package could mean a surprise, a mystery, something you cant have

wilson could mean...........hmmm your conscience, the voice of reason,

the crossroads could mean open endings, the unknown, possibilities
