I would not put it past them. Geraldo Rivera did it and he was thrown out.

Of course. Regardless of how its framed, just having some visual footage of the war is helpful. Honestly, I think the reporting of the Iraq war should be far more graphic, in terms of displaying the reality and the brutality of war. Generally, in the US, I think we see a very sanitized version of war. I think that the US government learned its lesson in Vietnam, and saw how disenfranchised the public became, when seeing our boys bloody and dead. We can only hope that th news media does a better job of presenting the reality of war.

I wish we could turn back the clock, and just leave Saddam in power. He was a despot, but he kept order. We can't achieve that, and I don't think that 20-plus-thousand more troops will change that. I don't believe in prayer, but I do hope that the US troops are safe. Does their safety, though, mean there MUST be more bloodshed among the Iraqis. I hope not.

Salaam.

To answer your question....NO! You think that CNN can find US forces but if they don't go on the air that the insurgents, on the ground, in Iraq, with folks who live there, don't know where the US is keeping thousands of Humvees, hundreds of helicopters, dozens of artillery, and 10's of thousands of US troops. What great camouflage these folks must have....blend right into the sand they do....
